Editing
Commercials, brand films, mini-docs and social cutdowns. I find the story in hours of footage and cut it to the length the platform needs.

Brand launch film
Reveal the college's new brand to its own students and staff, and make the video feel like part of the same rollout as the new printed materials.
Edited the launch film and built the motion graphics: rotoscoped footage and After Effects animation designed to match the print pieces, so screen and paper read as one campaign.
Debuted at the brand reveal on campus, then ran on the college's internal network and at orientation. After I left F8, the college reached out to me directly because they couldn’t get that edit style without me.
6 x 15s spots, 10 x 30s TV cuts
Something as simple and iconic as the classic Corona beach ads.
Our pitch: crack the can and you're transported from the factory straight to the lake. I cut it as a modular campaign: six 15-second spots that stand alone on social and pair up into ten different 30-second TV spots. It was my first edit at F8 Creative.
The client was very happy with the result.
20 min mini-documentary
Tell a century-old company's story for its 100th anniversary celebration.
Produced and edited a twenty-minute documentary from interviews and archival photos, from the early trucks to the people running it today.
Premiered at the 100-year celebration banquet. Afterward I was told “there wasn’t a dry eye in the room.”
Same-day turnaround
Cut on location from a hotel room while the crew fed me footage all day. One shot at it: the finished piece had to play at the event's evening banquet.
Delivered on deadline and screened that night.
30s campaign spot
Destination spot blending our own footage, client-supplied clips and stock, all graded to look like one shoot in one town.
Daily recap videos
Filmed every race, then had a finished recap ready by the next morning, three days running. Graphics were pre-built so the overnight edit was all story.
A new recap every morning of the event.
Product animation
Cinema 4D phone model in After Effects with a real screen recording composited in, so the UI is the actual app, not a mockup.
Tribute film
Testimonial film honoring "Speed" Herrig of Cookies Barbecue Sauce with a lifetime achievement award.
Motion graphics
Animated graphics motion-tracked onto drone footage, so labels and callouts sit locked to the landscape.
Live sports broadcast package
Live high school football broadcasts for CW 15, plus the pre-produced open, graphics and promos wrapped around them.
30s TV spot
Seasonal broadcast spot for 4 Real Wireless, an Omaha Boost Mobile retailer, produced through FOX 42 / CW 15 creative services.
30s TV spot
Broadcast spot shot during COVID lockdowns under special on-set safety procedures. It still had to look like a normal shoot.
15s TV spot
The brief was "make it funny." So it's a full cheesy late-night infomercial, squeezed into fifteen seconds.
30s TV spot
The client loved their old commercial and wanted it again. Rebuilt from scratch with new footage.
YouTube videos + trailers
Fast-turnaround narrative videos and trailer-style cuts for Jason Inman's YouTube channel, paced and styled for its tone and audience. Use the playlist controls to see more.
Display content, 4 screens
Recruiting booth content for a trade show in Singapore: a 13' x 16' LED wall, a 3' x 10' LED sign, a vertical display and an animated wallpaper for the private meeting room.
Staff at the booth singled the visuals out as the thing pulling people in.
Recruiting video
Recruiting piece for online and career fairs. I built the 3D logo animation and recorded the metal sound effects myself.
Annual meeting feature
A Behind the Music-style spoof celebrating Peter Kiewit Award winners, for the company's annual meeting. I hired a professional voice actor and commissioned a local musician for the title theme.
Company-wide video card
Feedback on the previous year's e-card said it felt less personal than the old printed ones. So I asked the CEO for a handwritten note and scanned it in for the final frame.
Most-viewed video on Kiewit's internal network that year.
Internal video (not a real ad)
A fake infomercial made as an internal joke to promote Kiewit's in-house web development team. Intentionally terrible on purpose: Comic Sans, sparkles, the works.
A measurable bump in project requests for the web team.
Motion toolkit
Animated the annual meeting's theme into a full toolkit (lower thirds, transitions, logo animation) that teams across the company used in their own presentations.

About
I've spent twenty years making video for broadcast, agencies and in-house corporate teams: creative services producer for Sinclair's FOX 42 and CW 15, producer and lead editor at F8 Creative, and corporate communications at Kiewit.
Along the way I've shot through a pandemic, dodged an oncoming racecar, flown a drone into a wall, made semi-truck drivers cry, edited from a hotel room on a same-day deadline, built motion toolkits whole companies used, and turned hours of interviews into twenty-minute documentaries.
I also build my own tools. Instead of subscribing to someone else's product, I've written custom plugins and panels for After Effects and Premiere Pro to speed up my workflow and keep looks consistent from project to project.

FAQ
Every project gets a fixed, written quote before any work starts, based on what you actually need: length, footage, graphics, shoot days and deadline. No hourly meter running and no surprise invoices. Tell me what you have in mind and I’ll send a quote, usually within one business day.
Short spots and social cuts usually take a couple of days. Longer pieces depend on the footage and the scope, and you’ll get a timeline with your quote. Rush and same-day edits are available. I’ve cut on location and had it on screen that night.
Two rounds of changes are included in every quote. If you need more after that, extra rounds are billed hourly, and I’ll always tell you before anything extra is charged.
However you already do it: Dropbox, Google Drive, Frame.io, WeTransfer, a hard drive in the mail. I’ll work with your setup.
Yes. I work in Premiere Pro and After Effects and I’m happy to edit inside your existing projects, templates, fonts, LUTs and brand guidelines, so the finished piece matches everything else you make.
Both. I can take a project from script to shoot to final mix, or just cut the footage you already have. Based in Omaha, remote anywhere, and I travel for shoots.
The goal, who it’s for, where it’ll run, what footage or assets exist, your deadline, and a link or two to videos you like. That’s enough for a quote. A full creative brief is nice, not required.
Final masters plus any cutdowns and aspect ratios you need (16:9, 9:16, 1:1), with captions if you want them, exported to spec for wherever they’re going.
